Our History
The Voices of Jackson Heights community was formed as a small, diversified group of residents from different social, cultural, political, educational, and economic backgrounds. By observing the lack of communication between our elected officials and their constituents, we became united. It was paramount to create an atmosphere in which communication could be conducted without fear of attack. Our goal is to maintain a civil, respectful, and safe space for open discussion. Our aim is to be able to gather the various viewpoints of Jackson Heights residents and help deliver the message to elected officials and our neighbors. In order to improve the relationship between our residents and elected officials, we are united by a community interest in building a stronger, more powerful voice for our residents.
